Death Toll Six, 8, 000 Treated In Australia Due To “Thunderstorm Asthma”

The number of people dying in Melbourne, Austraila from what doctors call “thunderstorm asthma” has risen to six now. But more than 8,000 Australians have been treated for this strange occurrence.

Thunderstorm asthma occurs in the spring when rye grass pollen gets wet, breaks into smaller pieces and enters people’s lungs, causing them breathing problems. This is more like a Seasonal Allergy in America, but worse.

The city of Melbourne’s has been experiencing a lot of rain, that leaves the city wet, making it misearable for asthma and hay fever sufferers.
